Common Rental Questions
Do I need to Pay a Security Deposit for the Rental Equipment?
We do not require a security deposit for rentals. However, a Visa or Mastercard must be kept on file for security purposes. This card will only be charged if you fail to return the item, damage the item, or choose to extend your rental period, and all card information is securely destroyed once the rental is completed and the equipment is returned.
Does Living Well Have a Rent to Own Program?
Living Well offers a Try Before You Buy program that lets you apply your first month’s rental fee toward the purchase of the same product. If you rent a wheelchair, walker, commode, or anything else from our rental list and later decide to buy it outright, the rental fee you’ve already paid for the first month will be deducted from the retail price.
Has the Rental Equipment Been Used Before?
Yes, many of our rental items have been previously used. After each return, we follow strict cleaning and sanitization procedures and perform a detailed inspection to ensure the equipment is safe, reliable, and fully functional.
Do You Deliver Rental Equipment?
Local delivery is available around our three storefront locations, Peterborough, Bowmanville, and Cobourg. Delivery Fees:
$50 – Pick Up & Delivery Within City Limits
$75 – Within 30 Minutes of Driving
No charge to local hospital, long term care, or retirement homes.
